In his Major League career has posted a 4.00 ERA in 27 starts and 416 relief apps for the Orioles, Diamondbacks, Phillies and Angels...has made 6 Postseason apps, all in relief for the Diamondbacks...at Class AA Bowie in 2008 was a mid-season Eastern League All-Star...attended Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, CA, where in 2005 he established the school's single-season strikeout record (119)...also established school records for career strikeouts (224) and career victories (20, tied)...his brother, Ray, also pitched professionally.

2017

In 64 relief apps for the Angels and Diamondbacks posted a sterling 3.11 ERA...from 7/8-8/12 did not allow a run in 14 apps or 12.2 innings, both single-season career highs...that stretch spanned 8 apps for the Angels (8.2ip) and 6 apps for the Diamondbacks (4ip)...made 2 scoreless relief apps vs the Dodgers in the National League Division Series...went to spring training with the Giants as a non-roster invitee...was released on 3/24 and 3 days later was signed by the Braves to a minor league contract...on 4/24 was traded to the Angels and on 7/31 was traded to the Diamondbacks...became a free agent following the season...on 1/30/18 was signed by the Reds to a 2-year contract through the 2019 season.
